At North Star Marketing we have been blessed to have a following of loyal marketing junkies. We created the Friday Afternoon Email Survey six years ago, that polled our recipients each week on a marketing topic, and then we shared the results and offered some commentary and tips. 

 

As time evolved we saw the polling participation decline. We realized our subscribers were no different than us. They were getting inundated with email and finding it hard to wade through the spam and keep up with the information overload landing in their inbox.

 

So, we created The Compass, a marketing tip sent on the second Friday of every month that allows our readers to skim in 60 seconds or less. The results: our readership base has increased and we stay in touch with our loyal marketing fan club.
