Amy Neary - Vice President & Chief Reality Officer

AmyAs Vice President and Chief Reality Officer, Amy touches nearly every aspect of the business. She commands a keen ability to bring together strategic and tactical perspectives, create synergies between clients and staff and ensure projects are completed on time and on budget. During her tenure, she has developed and managed integrated marketing and public relations campaigns for a variety of clients. Most recently, she managed the rebranding of sterling silver manufacturer, Charles Thomae, Inc.—a first in the company’s 86-year history. Capturing critical feedback from customers and identifying market opportunities, Amy led a successful launch of sterling silver baby goods. The PR program she developed for Leonard Hair Transplant Associates garnered the client exposure in Woman’s World, GQ Magazine and on Channel 5-Boston, WCVB-TV. Developing an email marketing campaign, she enabled the client to consistently communicate with patients which has also generated new surgery leads. Local apparel retailer Wilson’s of Wickford also turned to Amy to re-vamp their approach to customer communications—a campaign which has resulted in increased store traffic and overall sales. Amy also often plays a role in developing marketing strategy and was integrally involved in Atlantic Paper & Twine’s foray into marketing.

 

Internally, as the company’s vice president, Amy positions the company as a leading marketing and public relations firm in Rhode Island. Amy plays a critical role in new business development and is responsible for North Star’s human resource and accounting departments. Her experience in recruiting, retaining and motivating top talent support a personal goal to make North Star the best employer in the industry.

 

Amy has demonstrated her ability to increase efficiencies, developing processes to maximize capacity and profitability. The company has seen a 300% increase in staffing since her hiring, and in 2006, she helped lead North Star to its highest revenue and most profitable year ever.

 

Previously, Amy held positions at The Motorsports Decisions Group (TMDG) in Charlotte, NC. She was promoted from Sponsor Relations Manager to Director of Client Services, and within two years, to vice president. Throughout her five years with TMDG, she managed $11 million NASCAR motorsports programs for corporate sponsors including Square D/Schneider Electric, The Home Depot, Yellow Transportation, and Mitel Networks. Amy supervised three staff teams and directed the public relations, hospitality, licensing and graphic design departments. She helped create and launch the “Rolling Thunder” mobile marketing program for The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and successfully managed 35 events with over 10,000 participants across the country. On the agency side, Amy played a principal role in new business development and human resource functions.

 

Prior to her work with NASCAR, Amy served as a Program Director for the Institute for International Sport. She managed all aspects of the National Sportsmanship Day Program, including the development of an event day workbook, recruitment, and public relations for 6,000 participating schools worldwide. In one year, she recruited 1,100 new schools from around the globe.

 

With a BS in Human Development from Cornell University, Amy completed her MBA in Marketing with high honors from Bryant University.
