North Star Marketing Recognized for World's Smallest Newsletter WICKFORD, RI - North Star Marketing (NSM) received a Sapphire award at the 3rd annual GEM Awards from the Rhode Island chapter of the American Marketing Association (RIAMA). The Wickford based marketing firm was recognized Wednesday, May 19 for their creation of the World's Smallest Newsletter. The event was held by the RIAMA at the Providence Art Club with over 50 members and marketing professionals in attendance. It was hosted by the popular Cardi Brothers, Nick, Ron and Pete, and sponsored by Providence Business News. The World's Smallest Newsletter is a marketing tool created by North Star to stay in touch with clients, prospects, alliances and referral sources. North Star had previously conducted a survey that revealed that most business people rarely read a newsletter in its entirety. The quarterly newsletter laid out on a 4" by 6" postcard that takes less than two minutes to read was launched one-and-half years ago. It has resulted in a 21% increase in North Star's internal database and become a product generating revenue for the company.
