Make the most of a tradeshow

June 13, 2008

Last week we gave some tips on preparing for one of the most important marketing opportunities for a business - the trade show. Now that you know what to do before you get there, here are some tips to make the most of the networking opportunities you've arranged while you are there.

Compass 6.13.08Sell them something specific: Since you've prepared for the show, you know your prospects' business needs. Hone in on the solutions you can provide to help them with their opportunities.

Show, don't tell: Don't just talk about how you can help, demonstrate how you've helped someone in their position in the past. Provide tangible examples to make them want to pass your information along within their companies.

Be memorable: Your prospects will meet many other people at the show. Find a way to stand out. Whether it's a creative giveaway or a personalized pitch, make sure that you are one person they will speak with that they will not forget.
