In last week's Compass, we discussed why Twitter is a great resource for businesses. Once you set up your Twitter profile, take full advantage of some of the great tools available. Here are a few suggestions:
-
Twellow - Twellow is Twitter's version of the yellow pages, which allows you to search profiles by industry. Use Twellow to find and follow thought leaders, competitors, prospects, etc.
-
Twitter Search - Look up any subject, product, or business and Twitter Search will find it. You can use this tool to stay on top of trends and breaking news, or search for your business and see what people are saying about you!
-
Tweetlater - Tweetlater lets you bulk-upload tweets and schedule tweets in advance. Also, its tracking feature compiles a summary of tweets that include keywords you have identified (company names, competitors, products, etc.) and emails them directly to you.

The New York Times featured an article about Twitter earlier this month that discussed its huge growth potential and tips on some of Twitter's more advanced features. Read the article here.
