North Star Marketing, one of Rhode Island’s leading marketing and public relations firms, announced that it has hired Peter Seronick as Director of Right Brain Thinking. Seronick, an adjunct instructor at Boston’s Emerson College, founded and ran his own ad agency for nearly 20 years, winning hundreds of local, regional and national creative awards. As North Star’s Creative Director, Seronick will be responsible for the Agency’s creative product and copywriting, working closely with North Star’s design team.
“It is a thrill to have Peter join North Star and share his vast creative expertise and knowledge with all of our existing, as well as future clients,” said April Williams, president and visionary of North Star Marketing. “Peter’s presence affords us the exciting ability to greatly expand our creative portfolio – bringing our stellar creative across multiple communications mediums – local, national, and regional print, radio, and TV.”
A resident of Sharon, Massachusetts, Seronick worked at Hill Holliday and Arnold Worldwide, among other Boston area agencies during his multi-decade career – working with big and small and local and international consumer and business-to-business clients. In 1983, he founded the Boston agency Rossin Greenberg Seronick and Hill (RGSH) – where major accounts included Spalding Golf, Massport, Star Markets, LoJack, Honey Dew Donuts, Shaw’s Supermarkets, Wusthof Cutlery, Old Neighborhood, Cabot Stains, Lunt Silver, Sperry Top-Siders, Clark’s of England, US Trust, and People’s Bank. Ad Age called RGSH a “creative incubator” for their reputation for identifying young, creative talent and mentoring and training them to become award-winning writers and art directors. After selling the Company to Watertown, MA, ad agency Allen & Gerritsen in 2002, Seronick stayed on as co-creative director, working on accounts such as the Boston Celtics, MFS, Pathmark Supermarkets, Hannaford Supermarkets, the Boston Bruins, Waters, Berklee College of Music, Salem Five Savings Bank, IKON, Ninety Nine Restaurants, and Honey Dew Donuts.
Seronick, who has judged numerous advertising competitions across the Country, has served as a guest speaker at various organizations and colleges throughout Southern New England. He received an Associate in Arts degree in General Education from Dean College in Franklin, MA, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Industrial Communications from Emerson College.
