Are you using color to drive your brand?

October 9, 2009

Did you know color increases brand recognition by up to 80%?* The effective use of color is critical and can create a positive emotion with your audience and increase awareness of your brand. Using the same colors in all of your marketing materials will hold your customers' attention longer, clearly convey your message, and ultimately boost sales.

Colors have feelings too! Using certain colors conveys a message and can evoke certain emotions from your consumers. North Star recently used green to convey life and energy for a program logo for Preventure. Find out what your colors mean.

Convey your message through color. Colors should reflect your company's values and resonate with your audience. Pilgrim Screw Corporation, a manufacturer of fasteners and a North Star client, needed to develop a promotional package to highlight a new product. See what colors North Star used to position Pilgrim Screw as a leading manufacturer to the aerospace industry.

Be consistent. Be sure to use the same hue in letterhead, ads, signage, promotional products, etc. If your logo is blue, it should remain blue anywhere that you use it - not green, pink, or red! See how North Star consistently used yellow and green for the "Get Fresh. Buy Local." campaign for the RI Dept of Agriculture.
