DS Graphics

Description: DS Graphics is a privately-held print optimization firm and promotional company established in 1974.


Challenge: DS Graphics was seen as “just a printer” when in reality, they were so much more than that to the clients. They are a print optimization firm that provides solutions that save their clients hundreds of thousands of dollars. They needed a chance to tell their story.

 

North Star Solutions: North Star Marketing created a prospect gifting campaign to entice targeted companies to listen to what DS Graphics could do for them. We created a high-end lead response concept that had three campaigns that drove the recipients to sign-up for a 20-minute educational webinar.

 

BoomboxCampaign A: Today technology saves money.
We designed a large box in the size and shape of the classic old “boom box” with no headline. When the recipient opened the box there was an iPod inside and the copy read:

Today, technology helps shrink everything.


And that includes the cost of your printed materials.

If printed materials are part of your business, then saving money
on your printed materials should be part of your business plan.


If they signed up for the webinar they received a $50 iTunes gift card for attending.


WineCampaign B: Wine Opener/Membership in Wine of Month Club
We sent a beautiful wooden box with a very high-end wine opener with the headline: We assume that you appreciate the finer things in life.

 

When you opened the box it said: We also assume you’d appreciate cutting costs on preparing and distributing printed materials around the world.

 

They were then asked to attend the webinar. If they attended they received a Membership in the International Wine of the Month Club.

 

RelaxCampaign C: Relaxation
We sent a box filled with relaxation items. The headline on the box was:
Are you too stressed to take the time to open this box? If so, then you definitely need to open this box. When you opened the box the headline was: A little reminder that there are actually people in your position who are able to relax at work.

 

If they were one of the first five executives to attend the webinar they received a $500 getaway weekend package at an exclusive New England Inn.

 

North Star Results: DS Graphics has been thrilled with the response. They have opened doors where they are sure they couldn’t have otherwise. The campaign has generated a 42% response rate.
