Culture

Every company has a culture and personality. The second you pass through their doors you get a vibe and a feeling. You get a sense of the kind of people who work there.

At North Star Marketing we didn’t overtly create a culture. It created itself. But since we are in the idea business, that culture is a far cry from conservative. Whether it’s the music in the halls from our personal playlists, the purple walls, the “Creative Space”, the “Sandbox”, “Men’s Room” (sorry, you’ll have to visit to understand), or the fact that we have ice cream socials, there’s a gumball machine outside our conference room, and chocolate stashed in at least three places in the office, North Star is different in a good way.

Office politics are frowned upon. Prima donnas are never hired. Egos are checked at the door. Prada and Gucci aren’t part of the dress code.

Our industry is filled with stress. That’s what happens when client deadlines govern your To Do List. While we all work hard at North Star, we all also work hard to make it relaxed and open. Hence the pilsner glasses in the kitchen and the beer fridge in the “Creative Space”. Combined, they seem to be well-used on Fridays that end especially busy weeks.
