Pilgrim Screw was founded in 1932. It is a third generation, family-owned business that today is known as one of the country’s most responsible, reputable, high-quality manufacturers of screws, bolts and fasteners for the aeronautics industry, NASA, and the US military. While other manufacturers treat their products as commodities and price them accordingly, Pilgrim Screw has a different point of view. They are fully aware that they make things that hold other things together. Things like military helicopters, fighter jets and commercial and private airplanes. That’s pretty heady stuff where there is no room for failure. Which is why while Pilgrim Screw sells millions of bolts, fasteners and screws, they see each one as an integral part of the safety and integrity of a multi-million dollar flying machine.

But how do you tell your industry that you are not a commodity when all the customers care about is price and on-time delivery? You do so by challenging the accepted norm of selling on delivery, ease of ordering and cost per unit and selling on the notion that one bad fastener is unacceptable. In other words in a commodity industry you sell on emotion and obligation.

The three ads we’ve posted were part of our latest multiple ad campaign, and were created to run in an aviation industry e-Magazine.

See for yourself how thinking big brings WOW to life in a category that had forgotten how important it is to the safety of the people who rely on it.
