The telecommunications industry is a huge category with some equally huge competitors. Verizon, Comcast, Time-Warner and AT&T are names everyone’s heard of. So how do you compete with them? How do you grow your business? How do you prevent them from stealing your customers? How do you retain your employees?
Don’t get us wrong, Cox Business is a strong, dynamic, well-positioned, competitive, financially sound organization. It’s just that their competition is all really well-oiled marketing machines.
We began working with Cox Business in 2008. We were presented with the challenge of increasing Cox’s business among small businesses in Rhode Island. We not only had to have success we also needed to sell a doubtful sales team that saw little to no use for us or a campaign. The results of this initial campaign were beyond anyone’s expectations. So much so that sales people are now requesting that we create new campaigns before marketing has even contacted us.
Fast forward to today. Since that first direct response campaign we’ve been involved in over a dozen campaigns that include internal promotions, up-selling and new customer solicitation. While Cox Business is very discreet regarding results we can report that most of our campaigns have had response rates of over 30%. Yes, we said 30%. And another little tidbit of information is that a recent campaign saw revenues exceed the client forecast by 50%.
We’re currently working with Cox Business in Rhode Island, Connecticut and Ohio. Several of our latest campaigns have had such success, they’ve been offered to all the Cox Business markets in the country.
